Spring Cleaned

On the 28th April the residents of Ellesmere And the turned out in force and dusted the winter cobwebs from the streets . There was a great turnout out on the day. Undoubtedly an increase on last years numbers. Indeed the turnout would have made Diarmuid Gavin proud. Residents worked for hours cleaning their gardens and brushing the gutters clean of the the winters leftovers. The flower bed was weeded and the hedge cutback. In total there were some 40 bags of waste which Dublin City Council kindly removed . In addition the reclaim the cobbles project was continued and an extra 10 meters of the tarmac covered gutters were chiseled to reveal the feature cobbles beneath. After all the hard work Kate Brennan very kindly supplied refreshments which were welcomed by all.
