To help kick this day off Dublin City Council have very kindly supplied us with Hanging Baskets , planters and windowboxes . The residents not wishing them to go to waste have gone to work planting them. Baskets have been filled with Magnolias, Salvias, Begonias Geraniums lobelias allysum and much more. Thanks are to be given to Kate, Geraldine and especially Suin for all their hard work.
They will be available to collect on Saturday 11 June at the end of the Avenue . All we ask is that those who take the planters commit to displaying them to the front of their properties.If anyone is fearful of the DIY involved you will be glad to know a number of DIYers have voluntereed to help hang the baskets on the day. Only a limited number of baskets are available so first come first served.
There will also be a plant advice clinic available on the day.
So get your, or your childrens, green fingers out and get planting.
